SOCRATES –
ERASMUS
In the framework of the European Socrates-Erasmus program the laboratory of the responsible of the web site is hosting several students
of the Technical University of Munich (Germany) and Eindhoven (The Nederlands) who develop at Tor Vergata either the “Semester-arbeit” or other projects.
The topics investigated had the
following titles:
·
Array
of wires in natural convection;
·
Characteristic
of a multi-wire temperature sensor under influence of forced convection;
·
Forced
convection between a submerged jet of air and heated cylinders;
·
Fluid
flow simulation of a wind tunnel;
·
Design
of a pressure vessel for measuring the thermo-physical properties of new
refrigerants;
·
Experimental
measuring of the thermal conductivity of liquids under low and high pressure
and low temperature;
·
The
influence of grids on the heat exchange for a cylinder placed in a submerged
jet flow of air;
·
Design
of parts for an apparatus, used for measurements on a finned tube with forced
convection;
·
Measurements
of the Nusselt number on the finned tube and the velocity distribution of the
jet;
·
Turbulent
flow and heat transfer measurements on a finned tube with a plane impinging jet
of air;
·
Heat
transfer measurements on a finned tube with a plane impinging jet of air and
visualization of a free jet flow with different optical methods;
·
Measurements
of the velocity and turbulence in a submerged jet with a hot wire anemometer;
·
Visualization
of a submerged jet with optical methods.
